About bloody time, they can rename the GPZ7000 to the SDC7000 and release a mans detector that punches down to at least 2m.. lol!

Lets see.  if the GPZ7000 cost $10,700.00 then thats $1.52857 (10,700 divided by 7000)
Soooo, a GPZ10000 should cost ya $15,285.70 (10,000 multiplied by $1.52857)
Maybe    lol!   geez I must be bored to come up with that stupid idea

Seems to me maybe a fix for better ground balancing, a wet/salty ground timing or maybe a model that has coil options. Something a $10,700 detector should already have, I reckon.

It is disappointing the 7000 has no salt tolerance. ML really need to rethink this machine and hopefully they can do an upgrade without having to buy a new machine again.

Agree with comments on 7000. Upgrades should be a nominal cost to the present owners, like Microsoft etc...

It's disappointing, but maybe ML are coming up with a software fix. Hope so. Or we have a very expensive machine that "Punches Deep" into the pockets of those who buy it.
Most of the stuff I've read so far is, it's a miss and hit affair. That's not good for an outlay of $10,700
It either works or it doesn't in WA conditions and that's where it matters for me and ML should have stated this from the start.
