GPZ 7000 and Iron reject

Post by toad on Sun 15 Feb 2015, 5:27 pm

From what I've seen so far it doesn't look like it has any discrimination at all which I would think, with the DD type of coil, is a bit strange.

but as I said previously u can usually tell when u r a couple of feet down and the type of ground that u r digging whether u r going to get a heart attack or just get peed off. don't forget this was an early version of the manual that everyone got access to..

I doubt It!
From what I'm told, reliable discrimination in mineralised ground is impossible ATM and Bruce Candy is
on record stating he will not put out something that says an 80oz nugget is scrapmetal, or so I'm told. Mad

Also forget about DD as far as the GPZ goes, DOD is different, whole new ball game.
There are rumours being put around by some of the old Donnoly Vic mob of a Minelab bringing out a new
detector next year, after this one, with full depth discrimination,,,,,,,even saying it will cost $16500????
Problem is, It's bullschit!

Why would they spread that rumour???
Maybe to get people to not buy this one?
