Post by Guest on Thu 02 Jan 2014, 3:36 pm

To all those people out there who still have a POST of "0" against their name in relation to posting --then u need to at least introduce yourself as a new member.

all members who havent posted at least once will b culled from the members list--please make an effort to share at least something on our forum.

Fairy Nuff! is this my first post? I've been reading and learning and I will come over (from Sydney) in April.

I've been putting my camping and golding kit together and I can't wait to get remote.

I'll interact when I feel that I have a bit to offer... (like I'm starting)

I've have enjoyed learning and I hope that I will meet up with some folks this season. I think that I will be trying my luck around Laverton, Duketon, erlistoun, Leinster.... in fact anywhere where I am lead to... the major attraction is that I am coming over without a timeframe or a set area. Like, for the first time in decades I am not planned out or obligated.

I've enjoyed following your season with dryblowing..

Thanks, oh crazy one...

I'm needing to get a few ounces to justify my obsession. This last twelve months I have bought a jayco finch ($14k), a Toyota troopy ($12k), gpx5000 ($6.5). I spend hours looking at maps and tengraph. Alls I need is for it to start and then a bit of colour and then I will settle down.

I figure I need a bigger coil to cover more ground. I am happy with the 11inch mono and I reckon I need a bit of backup and variation. NF17inch (by11?) reads well. Is there a dealer in the goldfields who is a good bloke and would give me some insight as a thankyou for a bit of business? Is there a dealer in Leo?

Can you do prices like Bendigo gold on ebay? example is NF17/11 superlight for $435 with free postage...

If you can, I will do some reading and make a decision as to which coil and buy one soon...

Culling New & old Members who haven't Posted for a while

Post by Dhufish on Fri 24 Oct 2014, 2:56 pm

G'Day all,

I can understand the need to cull databases of inactive users/Members who may have lost interest or moved on to other interests in life. However, there must be others out there and in this Forum who are in a similar situation to myself or lost their partner and don't prospect anymore. I spend 5 to 9 months out in the bush prospecting on my own avoiding people, civilization and the outside world due to three things namely depression,PTSD and chemical poisoning - all caused from a previous occupation where my special skills were exploited with lethal results to others.

logging into the Forum is not an easy task believe me - have to kick the black dog and shoot the Mulga snake off the keyboard. members who are not traveling well don't advertise the above illnesses (which turns you into a Hermit socially isolated) but we do really enjoy reading the Posts here on the various topics as we all never stop learning from others.

Before Members get the flick Administrators please consider sending them an email or someone who knows them give em a call as nobody knows whats going on in their lives. I have been back for a month and left the house 4 times, it takes many weeks before I start visiting people - its not nice when you are on your own.

On a lighter note I did catchup with some of the members here at Edjudina this year which was great, where I pulled just under an oz after they left, then went all over the place ending up with a bit over 12 oz with one large lump being a stand up ripper - looks like a resting animal of some sort - now locked away in the bank.

Thank you for your time in reading this

Keep well PeterD
